smerchly
The ticks have really increased in the last 5 years locally . We may see Lyme disease cases increase as well . It is hard to diagnose and may take years to start affecting your mind and body . These 4 family members all have Lyme after living in Russia over 20 years ago . Hunters using dogs for pheasant hunting came back with their dogs loaded with ticks & this family probably got bitten from them . Lyme is destroying the brain of one of them ........We will soon need to start spending more money on research to catch this disease early before it is too late ........ http://www.thestar.com/news/gta/2014/08/29/four_members_of_one_family_battling_lyme_disease.html
Tino26
It's crazy. I know of one family in Niagara region were two people that are cousins have Lymes Disease from these little buggers. We have to be very careful. They are not sure were they picked up the tick (possibly aboard) but none the less. Always check yourself and others after an outing in the fields.
