Grandkids

I was surprised and hesitant when I was first told I was going to be a grandfather. That sudden feeling that you are now officially "old" hits you. Well that bundle of joy is only 3 months away.

Today, Rob comes home and drops a big bomb. Three of them to be exact. 2 ready made and one in the works before Christmas.

I'm gonna have lots of fishing buddies, but I'm going to have to make and sell a lot of fishing tackle to afford all this extra happiness.

To be honest, I'm both tickled and scared. last night I was in shock for the first few hours. All Judy could say to me was "We gotta go to Walmart. I need a lot more wool."

Cograts Bruce, My two boys have and their wives have each given me two grandchildren each. I have two grand daughters and two grand sons within about two years, time flys when you are having fun. It sure is exciting around here when they all show up at the same time.

had my first day playing Grampa. The 3 year old, Delilah, was mine for the whole day. Spent the morning baking cookies. Walked to the pizza shop for lunch. She was so tired she had a 2 hour nap curled up with Grampa and Casey on the couch.

  • 3 weeks later...

First fishing outing with the two girls. Pity the fish weren't more cooperative. All that rain made things tough. Even so the youngest, Delilah, caught her very first fish (with Grampa's help). A respectable 9" crappie. The girls still had fun honking back at the geese and running around.
