pauly
Awesome job! Keep making them. Way cheaper and they are easy and they work. No reason to buy considering you can make them for so much cheaper. Beautiful fish. Take care.

cplummer
Some rod companies wrap cork in plastic to keep dirty hands off the cork which may hurt the resale...If you have a dirty handle that needs cleaned simply use a 220 grit sandpaper to keep it looking new. rainbow905
Thanks cliff, my other rods are caked in pink lol. Keep the plastic on my cell phone screens pretty much everything. Helpful tip for sure thanks
titanium77
Yeah, cork dries quickly if it can breathe. If it's wrapped in plastic it will take a long time to dry when it gets wet. Potentially causing mold. Keeping the plastic wrap on your cork is probably the best way to ruin it... LET IT BREATHE!
Mike Pike
Nice fish and a nice pic of your rod and rig. Very satisfying to catch a nice fish like that on a streamer you made yourself, eh. For the older guys, remember back in the day when new couches came covered in plastic and some people( like my parents )would never remove the plastic so the furniture would always stay new? Ah, the memories...
Symmetre
Once water gets under that plastic it will rot the cork pretty quickly. Get rid of it. Beauty fish.
Backwoods
I agree lose the plastic. Every time I see a guy with plastic on the handle still i have a lil chuckle. I cant wait to get my handles "seasoned" on new rods
canliq
I keep mine when still new, but when has been used, I always rip it off the plastic wrap. If you want keep it clean, you can used the wrapper for tennis non sticky. And get dirty, just replace it.
