drsmooth
Don't know for sure if they do or don't, But..... Here are some links regarding Sea Lamprey attacks on humans. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sea_lamprey#Attacks_on_Humans http://deadlykingdom.blogspot.com/2009/09/...ey-attacks.html Here is a very interesting article about the Sea Lamprey saying they don't target humans. http://www.seagrant.umn.edu/superior/ll/05-06-15_lamprey
smerchly
Interesting stuff on the lamprey . Using the pheromones to attract them is a promising idea to help destroy the gobies & asian carp . I hope it works . Before I read the links , I figured the eels would not attack humans because we are warm blooded (well mostly).........But after a swimmer has been swimming in cold water any length of time ,the skin cools down & you may be a target for a lamprey . I didn't see any info on lamprey eels for eating.......The euro eels are great ,done in the smoker.......
