I been under the Burlington skyway bridge today and it still seems little bit cold...

It may still couple weeks to get the smelt run around lake Ontario...

Any other report?

It still is early for smelt run but am sure luck would be better under the bridge at night, lol...
Remember the days when you just had to put a small dipnet down and you could not even lift it back up without collapsing it because it would be so full of smelt. Not just little smelt, but smelt that would weigh 1 lb. You could fill a straw basket in about 15 mins. Oh yeah, and take a whole day cleaning them. The garden would like you alot this time of year and the wife would not, lol...
Harder to find a spot to catch then now with people closing off all the spots where you grew up catching smelt and other fish. Seems like the only politicians and businessmen we have now, never had a fishing pole in their hands growing up. Seems to me that the Niagara River and Lake Ontario are becoming like Lake Erie, "NO TRESPASSING".
