Well ...there ain't much happ. anywhere it seems.......I fished Port Dal this am , loaded up my trusty charteuse worm harness up with a few fat dewies on a 3 way combo . & after about 2 hrs.of casting/drifting in the current with a few gobie taps , I called it a day . The guys on the opposite side left after a poor showing there also . The water is tainted brown & a few schools of tiny minnows were breaking water after a few small bass razzed them . The odd salmon broke the surface to keep us interested , but it was a sloooowww day . .....but still enjoyable ! Someone always shows up to chew the fat with .....nice to see "perogie Bill", John , Harry , Stan, & usually IBC or Fishstick . I hope the water vis . clears up & will give it another go ....sooner or later , things will be happening as the bait fish arrive . That's my non event fish story for today !

hey!!!
i actually caught a fish today.
stopped at lesalle on my way home, grabbed fly rod out of the back and actually had to dust it off (it's been a slow summer for fishing) .
had to fish off the east side of the mini-peninsula because the other side was whitecaps.
tossed nymph for a bit with no takers so i moved down shore and tossed it again and got the surprise of my life when a couple of fat bass showed up.
quickly switched to a juicy woolly bugger and got a nice 18" bass to show for it.
they left after that and so, after a while, so did i.

it has been a loooooooong time between fish this summer.

photo evidence in my phone camera just so i don't forget what a fish looks like.

Hey smerch I was down tuesday afternoon and the dudes were hitting salmon eveywhere, I missed a fish on a streamer, dam braid broke  ......May be time for a new braid, guys say this stuff dosn't wear out but after 300-400 trips I think I wore it out :) :P  I'm on my way down in about 10min, try drifting some more streamers, it feels good to get the ole bottom bouncing techniques working again and good practice for when the trouties show up. I have seen a few brownies jumping in with the chinnies ;)

I have the urge to go tomorrow and blow the dust off my center pin......Hmmmm, a salmon on the center pin and 15' 6" rod would be interesting :D
