Went out at 7am to fish lake erie out of Point Abino, 15 or so boats already there in 52 to 60fow. Everyone was getting small ones as far as i could see.
Tried to move to 62fow and got a few keepers 11". Then went east in front of Sherkston, same thing there tons of small ones a few more keepers.
We could not find any big ones, and most of the ones we got were males.
We came back around 1 and now there was over 50 boats out.

How did everyone else do, did anyone manage to find some big ones, where are the females?
I don't live to work,
I work to live.

Sometimes it's hard to connect with the bigger schools. I'm catching 50-100 perch in a day and finding enough larger perch for a dinner, and that's it.

Good you got out and found fish. Makes it worthwhile.

I think the last few near freezing night temperatures have dropped the water temp.down and turned off the bite in some spots .We have been fishing shallow water (3 to 4 feet) which heats up quicker on sunny days .We might be seeing 30*C. on Thursday and I'm sure the fish will start feeding & be more aggressive ......The little dinkers seem to be hungry all the time....like teenagers...

Martindale is a big pond, move around change up the baits.
There's also eighteen mile pond, sixteen mile pond, fifteen mile pond,
Jordon Harbor, Charles Daily Park and a number of other spots off the
QEW to fish for perch and other pan fish. Bring a variety of baits, and if
one spot is not producing, move to another.
That should keep ya busy a while.
