Hey FoG you may already have this link, this has the main creeks that the pinners hit:
http://www.floatfishing.net/
You might want to look into the other creeks and small rivers that the flyers hit such as:
Grindstone Creek
Spencer Creek
Whitemans Creek
MacKenzie Creek
some freestone sections of the grand with quiet pools
I'm also going to check out access areas to the lake shore line that would give access such as the break wall at Jordan, or 4 mile in NOTL, might even try upper 12 mile creek saw some back eddys that could hold a brown (if there still there)
If I find any promising spots I will PM you.
Reg also told me about the area under the Peace bridge being a spot to float on the upper. You might also want to try beside the hydro building on the upper across from Dufferin Islands apparently some guys have hit resident bows (2-3 lbs) along the wall.
By the way thanks again for the technique tips on bottom bouncing the other day. I really can feel the bottom now - just got to get the right lure/bait and the feel for the bite down at Queenston.

I would be careful with most of those locations mentioned as some are partially or completely closed to fishing until the opener.
If its not too far I would try the open sections of credit. Or pebly beach in Niagara is good. I too am fairly new to fishing with a pin, and appreciate the space to cast.
On a side note which of you find floatfishing.com completely useless?

Hey fog, whats up?
new to the pin??
not too much going on in the niagara region right now except the placs that you dont want to walk to right now.
You could try out east. or erindale park in mississaga.
another place to try but there is not much current is the bronte peir.(west) they do get them there on floats as well.
just tryin to help ya out. Ive got the itch as well.

Hey Fullogas.
If your coming to Fort Erie I suggest you either stay on land or come with someone that is familliar with the area like Denis. The water is cold and the currents are dangerous but it helps to know where the big sheets of ice will take your legs off. I don't recomend the Peace Bridge this time of year. I'm betting that if you come on a Monday when Denis is closed, He'd be willing to show a board member a few spots downstream

Gentlemen:
You'll have to excuse me
, I assumed anyone reading my post would first check the location of the various streams and then check the regs as to when they could fish them for their target species.
Tightlines
Edward
P.S.- You might want to check your regs on page 14 - Year Round Open Season for Rainbow and Brown Trout. The lower sections of Grindstone and Spencer are both listed as open year round. Although the other creeks (Whitemans and MacKenzie) mentioned are closed.
