Does anyone know where in the Niagara Region that I can purchase some chubs ?

i have never seen em but i havent ventured out of st kitts for live bait ...

if you have a creek by your house check that you may be pleasantly surprised if there is a deeper spot in it.

i speak from experience btw ... found a creek by me that is loaded with em, many small ones caught a few bigger ones on a handline.

I used to catch my own as well. Use a #10 or #12 hook, and small worms or any small insects. Small grasshoppers work well.

The only place I have seen them in a while is the bait shop off the 400 by the petro gas stop. I know that it is way out of the way but they sell them there. Its about a buck a chub. Hmmm that sounds wrong. :dunno:

Try Bills Bait and Tackle on Upper James in Hamilton.

They usually have creek chub.

well Denis in Fort Erie (Fishin-Niagara) sells minnows but you can get a chubby next door at Maxxines :D

I will be stopping by that bait shop on Friday to check it out, cause Iam leaving for North Bay Friday morning, so i'll be right on the 400.
