Was at Peter's this afternoon, 6" Normark Fin-Bore $87 + tax, HT Enterprises(think they use Swede-Bore type blades) were around $45 + tax, depends on what size you want.

Canadian Tire has a sale on right now.. (I believe it's 20% off).. just picked up a 6" Normark Fin-Bore for $55... have to admit, went through the ice with ease... very smooth...

I can second that! I bought the 8" Swede-bore ($59.99) from CTC and it works really well. You can drill a hole through 6" of ice in literally less than 20 seconds.

The Fin Bore IIIs are the way to go...they don't jam while your cutting and are a better design.

I was in CT an hr.ago checking out tires & was looking at the Swede bore 6" for $78 . The fin bore is much better since I have have both . But if I am looking to buy a new one , I would like a 7" fin bore . That little 1/2" on each side will make it a little easier to get those 15 lb. pike through the hole ! :) Try the fin bore , no downward pressure needed , give both arms the same workout ! :Gonefishing:
