Hey guys,
It is the start of the new year and the Niagara Bassmasters are sending out an open invitation to any local anglers that are interested in seeing what it is all about to be a member of the Niagara Bassmaster’s.
The Niagara Bassmasters hold their monthly club meetings the second Friday at 7:30pm of each month at the Royal Canadian Legion in Niagara Falls. These meetings are open to anyone that would like to attend and are free to get in.
We would like to welcome anyone that has ever thought about joining a bass club or is interested in seeing what goes on during these meetings. The club is looking to bring in new members for 2010 and we feel that this is the best way to do so.
The only prerequisite to being a club member is to have a passion for fishing and to enjoy the camaraderie of a club atmosphere. Don’t let the name fool you, being a member of the Niagara Bassmasters doesn’t mean that you have to be an elite or skilled bass angler.
Individuals of all angling skill levels are welcome to join the club. No member is expected to know “everything”; in fact the club is more geared towards helping individuals learn the sport of bass fishing.
As well members that wish to join don’t need to have a boat, in fact most new members whether they have a boat or not generally fish with another member of the club to get a better understanding of how to fish the local waters.

A new thing for this year will be the introduction of guest speakers to our monthly meetings. Part of being a member of the Niagara Bassmasters is learning new tips and techniques no matter how long you have been fishing, and by bringing in guest speakers with different skills sets from different fishing backgrounds this help the clubs members learn new things that maybe they haven’t heard of or have never thought of trying before.

So if you are an avid bass angler or just like to get out for fun and possibly learn something new in the process stop by for a club meeting and see what you have been missing. We have had a number of new members that weren’t sure what to expect before they came out and when they did they found out that they were disappointed that they waited so long.

February’s Niagara Bassmasters meeting will welcome Pete Garnier as a guest speaker. If you don’t know who Pete Garnier is he is possibly the best frog fishing angler in Ontario. Pete has years of tournament experience behind him as well he has written numerous articles on bass fishing in different publications. Pete brings years of tournament experience as well as corporate sponsorship backing to the table. Please feel free to join us at our February meeting as the meeting is free of charge to attend.
Friday February 12th 7:30pm
Royal Canadian Legion on Spring Street in Niagara Falls.
Guaranteed you will learn something and have a good time at it!

Sounds good Pete
If you say shut up and fish then shut the hell up when they tell you that you can't fish anymore!

Pete,
One thing to add to your post, is that every new member to the Ontario Bass Federation Nation that joins and is paid in full between the dates of February 1st 2010, and the end of November will be added into a draw to win a $100 BPS gift certificate.
So not only do you get to come out and be part of a great organization like the Niagara Bassmasters but they have a chance to win something as well.
Look forward to seeing you all on the water soon!

If you enjoy Largemouth fishing, this presentation will be very informative. Pete has been fishing bass tournaments for a long time and has proven to be one of the most consistant on tour. I have fished with him the last couple of years on the Bassmania tour and I learn something everytime on the water. He would be able to answer, or give his opinion on almost any question you may have about largemouth (and smallmouth) fishing.

This is also just a good excuse to get out and talk fishing on a cold friday night
