Went for a kayak ride today up Frenchman's Creek. The creek is full of life right now including bait, yoy, egrets, herons, vultures, ducks, geese etc etc etc. I also saw a huge coyote before it saw me. It was still too fast for me to get a picture.

There were so many heron's and cranes cashing in on the harvest

In some areas the carp were sunning and other fish were ripping around chasing bait.
On a side note does anyone know what's going on at the coal docks?

Anyway I had to edit this post to ask what kind of duck that is near the legs of the egret? I never saw it until after I posted it :P
If you say shut up and fish then shut the hell up when they tell you that you can't fish anymore!

I thought it looked more like a hooded. I've heard they are not very good eating ;)

Merg. If you take some old beef liver and soak it in cod liver oil that's probably what they taste like. My aunt cooked one and it stunk the house up.
