What bird/crane?

After turkey hunting and not seeing one (well saw a real small one but didn't positively identify) flywire and I got back to my car and there were two hens in the field across the street. "Those definately are not turkey's" claims the flyguy. Upon closer inspection I believe I may have spotted my first sandhill cranes!
If you say shut up and fish then shut the hell up when they tell you that you can't fish anymore!

By jove I think he's got it. Neat to see even if they are only stopping on their way through.

Yup. Sandhills. You don't see them often. Very very cool.
I had a pair of largish hawks hovering in the wind over my head earlier today. . . and my camera was at home! Maybe if I keep it with me I'll get lucky enough to get some shots like that!
