I thought yesterday was the final day so at 7pm I shot my wad right into the bushes instead of unloading. I needed to hear at least one shell go off! When I realized today was closing day of wild turkey I just said "Oh well". Another way of saying wild turkey hunting is "tick collecting". I walked and sat a tree stand. After not being able to sit still because I had to pick a tick off every 30-40 seconds I moved to the hardwood where I picked up just as many on the way. I'm sure I picked off over 100 ticks in 2 hours. It's like they were being made right behind me or something.
Well I've seen one wild turkey report on this forum so I'm assuming very few did better than me. I can't wait for the first good frost!!!

If you say shut up and fish then shut the hell up when they tell you that you can't fish anymore!

Well if you can't get a wild turkey in the bush, just head over to the LCBO and I'm sure they'll have some Wild Turkey to take your mind off of it.

I was really surprised with the lack of turkey reports this year. My buddy got a jake, my dad and I each got tom's, saw some pic's of friends birds from out Guelph way but thats it. I won't get into the story of when my other tag is still in my wallet...
