The plant was cut down in the first week of May.
![]() The plant now measures 54 inches, just over 4 feet. This current growth occured in just over a months time. The leaves will be over 30 inches wide in another few weeks. Thats why I call this plant amazing

What are you fertilizing that tree with Dan ? how many fish did you bury under that thing ? Can you smoke the leaves ?

Catalpa tree. No other tree I know of grows that fast. I had them in my back yard in Oklahoma, and had to cut them down every two months. Plus, it's got the massive leaves. They get worms on them down there, are great for bass.

I believe on an earlier thread that we determined that it is a Royal Paulownia. This time of year around here, even a small catalpa will be in flower. Check the other thread:
