This is an open event that welcomes anglers of any level to compete is a bass tournament type atmosphere. This gives anglers the opportunity to fish with their better half or with a youngster 15 years of age or younger. We all know that this is a great sport and we need to get as many youngsters involved as possible.

Here is a brief overview of the event:
Entry Fee: $60
Date: Sunday July 11
Location: Boat launch ramp on Main Street in Chippawa
Time: Event runs from 7:00am to 12 noon
5 Bass limit, live release
All teams need to have an operating livewell.
Teams consist of 2 persons, Guy & Gal or Adult and Child 15yrs and younger

This is a super event!Tonns of fun and it allows your wife to apprieciate how much you love the sport and why, as well as maybe even getting a youngster involved in the sport of fishing!

Am I correct in assuming you don't need a fishing licence to fish this event if you are a Canadian resident?

Perhaps this is a good opportunity to get a non-fishing parent hooked as well.
If you say shut up and fish then shut the hell up when they tell you that you can't fish anymore!

Unfortunately parents need a fishing licence, the kids don't.
I guess for this particular event one is not needed but the rest to follow will.
