 :Gonefishing:

Boy I'm sure making up for last year that's for sure. Decided that Wed this year is my fishing day weather permitting.
Picked up my minnows at 6:30 and I was on the pier by 6:45 am.

Getting there I thought for sure the place would have been packed.. but nope. 3 regulars I always see at this spot were at the other end of the pier from me. Other than that had the place to myself.

Lots of fish splashing everywhere :clapping:

The action was pretty well non stop for 2 hrs straight... used up all the minnows. 2hrs was about all I was gonna take of the heat and humidity by 9 am I was done for the day.

Came home with 20 perch and 3 white perch B)

I'll second that Lorne ...yum yum ! Well , I got one perch today & it took a 3" minnow . It was a little slow until I caught a doz. nice minnows & the bass went nuts over them . I also got a nice cat , & a bud showed up with his shrimp bait & nailed a nice drum , sucker & a few nice smallies . Then , it got so friggin hot when the sun appeared over the trees , it was time to leave !! got a few shots of some fish ......most of the bass were about 2 lbs. to 2.5 lbs.

A cold one? You buying, Smerch? Beauty fish. Love the cat, makes my mouth water. (I haven't eaten dinner yet)

Early to bed, early to rise. Fish all day, and make up lies.

Good going!

Last Saturday the bite was definitely better early in the morning and then in the evening. I don't know if its the temperature or just the change in light (I think the latter), but the fish were not up top for sure.

I love all the shore reports in here. Just shows you don't need a big expensive boat with tonnes of gear to catch fish!

Way to go!

I thought about that spot as well Joe.. will check it out if I go down again and find myself crowded out. I found another spot last year that is deeper and the jumbos were home as well. With yesterday's heat I wasn't lugging everything that far... B)
