Was out at the weather marker today. One sheephead.
Yesterday off Sherston south of the two mile maker. Nothing there either.

there's definetly more fish west right now, however the upper river is still fishing awesome if you pull bottom with heavy weight.

this is a banner summer so far :worthy:

Did you fish deep enough? Get your stuff down and you'll catch them.

Harness came up with zebras attached so I think I was on the bottom, maybe too low or too slow. It was a bit choppier than I normally like.

If you got the walleye chop try fishin 30 jets backs back 50-75 and 90 to hit high fish, then run your dipseys on a 1 and 3 setting getting you both down and down and away. This year inparticular you are going to find walleye top to bottom in water colum unless your fishing very deep and find a thermocline. The very eastern most fish have been in the high 30's to low 40's right on bottom however a good chop will lift those fish and you can get them busting bait just under the surface. Your Abino to Sherkston and Port C fish seem to be set up in around 50 feet and as deep as on bottom in 85 feet, those are your big dipsey and rigger fish but again a nice chop will bring fish high enough to hit your jets and 2-3 oz inlines. Once you head farther west towards Dunkirk Maitland and Barcelona you will find a thermocline and most fish are going be targeting that area with the biggest fish dipping just below where 02 and water temps are more in thier preference range. This isn't gospel just my observations in a nutshell of what I think the walleye are doing based on my time on the water chasing them :)
