Wasn't sure if I was going to go this AM,high winds last night, SE this AM. There was a 3 ' swell no big deal till the wind turned from the E and started building! I left at 10:00.
I launched late... it was almost daylight :dunno: Made the long run out,I could run wide open in the swells but had to 1/4 them and I also had to trim the motor down. It was fun though!!!

Got to my Ultra Top Secret fishing area ;) Dropped down both riggers, trolled around for a few hrs. nothing, thinking I had passed over the fish on the way out when I heard the VHF, my Top Not so Secret Channel now crackled with the sound of 2 very well known local charter operators speaking of fish and yep I had passed over them! Pulled everything in /up and I was off..,..
Got to were I figured I should be,lowered the Riggers once again, looked and my subtroll temp, saw some baitfish :D said to self.. Self I be Here!
An hr later :( I'm thinking this would be a good day to go buy some much needed fishing supplies when I heard the whine of the line popping of the rigger looked and there she goes,I sprung into action,at first he didn't seem like much but he was getting warmed up,got him in,back out he goes, all the time I need to watchout for this charter boat coming towards me!
Then it happened sure enough this frigging fish made a run at my other rigger and what i thought was him wrapped around my other line wasn't, double hitter
Now I'm in the way of this charter boat,I called and asked for room and received it! Thanks Grant!
I did manage it get this fish in,never did weighed it,or take a picture,a quick check to see if the other fish was still there and back he goes!
I grabbed the other rod that had this little Steelhead, could not release him, gill hooked!
While I was fixing my swivel, the rod I just put down went off,a small very small shaker and he was hooked in the gills from the outside,so I had to keep these 2 fish!
Weather building so shortly later I pointed the Avro Arrow towards the hanger!

Was hoping to fish with Flywire today, but he couldn't make it. I hope I get a chance to fish with this fine young man some day!

Brian....when you plant your tree...make sure you put manure soil in the bottom and around the side of the roots. Generally they say to soak the roots in water.....but if it is a bigger tree, then put it in the hole and put lots of water in there before you add the soil manure....then add some when you are done planting it. Make sure you water the tree everyday for at least 2 weeks I would say. But do that when the sun is down. Hope this helps.
