Heard on the news this morning about a body being found in one of the creeks in St. Kitts area. Anyone get the details? I hope it wasn't an angler.

Yes it was an angler.....found him in the water at 12 mile creek.... he was 55 years old..click the link for release. Condolences to the family. This just shows how careful we must be around the waters.

That sucks. There was another guy found a few weeks ago in the same water way.

Water in that strech always looks fast, is there actually good fishing there?

wow, I was just fishing the 12 mile near 4th ave with bigfishbass last week. I don't know the area south of st.pual st. very well, but I'm sure the water is just as bad as it is near the GM plant. That's sad....another reminder to keep your safety first.

That's the prob. with anyone fishing alone ,young or old.......a slip on the rocks, heat stroke, any number of reasons to end up in the drink . If fishing in a boat alone, wearing a life jacket may save your hide ....even shore fishermen too . ( especially if your over 40) .......fs :dunno: This person could be one of our members, so we need to get the word out that places like the 12 mile has some very swift currents that has taken many lives over the years .

there are good spots in some area's.... but you really have to watch the current....may look calm on the surface...but underneath.. watch out.

Wasn't there a post a few weeks back of some 12 mile rapist or something the police were after? 2 bodies found in 2 weeks same place? Just a thought that maybe it wasn't a accident. Sorry to hear about it.
