well you never know when you might get one sometimes..little tip for summer musky fishing..you really have to nail em with the hook set..their mouths seem extra hard in the summer for some reason..I know it sounds kinda silly but I have had a couple big ones on..well I thought they where on..till they got beside the boat and kinda just opened thier mouths and dropped my lure....didn't even have then hooked...they where just too stubborn to let it go....as a general rule of thumb for myself though..I don't really try to target muskies untill the fall....Oct had been a good month for me a few times..all the ones I have pretty much caught in the summer have basically been an incidental catch while fishing for other species..you could get into a musky if you guys are fishing for walleye on any rocky shoals that have a good weedline in the mix...and drop to deeper water...or any good rocky points and sunken islands..the big ones are going to be eating fish like the walleye....if there are musky in there..and you are catching walleye..chances are a big one or so has also made that thier hunting grounds
If my words did glow with the gold of sunshine, and my tunes where played on the harp unstrung, would you hear my voice come through the music, would you hold it near as it where your own?

If you want to catch some real nice bass fish in the evening and early morn just outside the swim area. Also around the boat docks. Good luck.

There are lots of Largies in the River. Target the cane/grass edges and the lily pads. Try a topwater frog through the pads if they have grown thick enough.
Do you have a boat Fcm. The pigeon river goes into three of the best bass lakes around. I caught my biggest musky(18.5lbs) there throwing a texas rigged power craw along a deep weed edge for bass.
