I met a very eager young angler and got to see him catch his first fish on the ice. While his 2 buddies were clowning on the ice he was being very serious about catching more. I took a few pictures from our lonely side of the pond, and of the one perch that I caught. Thanks Bowen for all your help and the use of your hut as I would have been very cold. Nice to meet your family again; they are a great support. And thank you for the extra rods for the kids to fish with and to Smerch for providing a hut for them to fish in He didn't want to leave even though they had to get to Kopps for a hockey game The kids got his priorities straight. By chance did anyone get a picture of the other little guy with his smelt? If so could you PM it to me, thanks Glad to see that we weren't the only ones on the dink school. Thanks for the pics.......the few I took are basically the same . Also , happy birthday to flywire who is 21 ( more than twicw as old as you FishinFeldie at 9.5 ) . And while I'm at it , Captn is another year younger today ....have a good one Nick ! I didn't know Bradley's mom was out there ....sorry I didn't say hello , I was having a bowl of that GREAT chilli & a dog right at your hut . I'm pleased also to see the great turnout ,considering the bitter cold wind , we had a fun filled day in rememberance of Bradley . Oh yes....the smerch caught a few runt perch ....... The winners of the derby: 1st Place Pike $120 - Troy Thomas with a nice 27" 2nd Place Pike Cusom Rod from CC Rods- Josh Boese with a 26" Pike. 1st Place Perch $120- Peter Dobson with 2.5 pounds of perch 2nd Place Perch Fin Bore Ice auger donated by the St.Catharines Game and Fish- Jackie Reading with 2.2 Pounds of perch Congrats to all the winners. There were also several Prizes Donated By: Joe Marshall Cliff Plummer (CC Rods) St. Catharines Game and Fish Association Peter's Tackle Fishin Niagara L.E.S Home Services I think i got everyone if i forgot please PM me. and a big thanks to Tony Harrington who generously Donated all the minnows. Thanks to all the people who donated prizes , and thanks once again to Bowen & his super nice parents who braved the cold day and served us great food & hot chocolate to warm us up , and to Jane & her helper who walked out to each fisher to treat us with a piece of goood lemon cake ....You guys are tops ! Bradley Perzul would be very honored & humbled by this event .Congrats to all the winners , the fish were biting good and it was good to see some bigger pike caught this year . Thanks again !!!!
