knightfisher Posted July 23, 2011 Report Share Posted July 23, 2011 Decision was, bake at home or boil on the pond. Actually it was surprisingly comfortable out there. The pond was pea soup in colour. Being that it has been extremely hot the last few days, I knew I had to fish the slop for the most part. Got into many bass, a number that I lost at the side of the canoe trying to get a pic. Here’s a few pics of the evening. Enjoy and stay cool. I was too tired to join ya but I got out this evening and released many bass the same way. the only fish I actually brought to hand was a sheepshead which actually peeled line and spun me around. knightfisher Posted July 23, 2011 Author Report Share Posted July 23, 2011 Dan as this pike was pulling me around I was thinking of that very question of being hauled around you asked a few days back Doesn't happen often, so I knew I had a good size pike. One of the bass caught was on a buzz bait. Always cool to see a fish come up and inhale a lure. I usually use my FF in the canoe, unless I'm fishing one of the back bays of the pond.
