smerchly
This story has been rehashed a few times in the last couple years and it seems the mnr & city councils & other groups concerned about the beavers & damage they are doing locally cannot come up with a solution . They tried trapping them and that upset many people and relocating them has negative consequences also . The beaver population is increasing in Niagara / Hamilton and if left alone , mother nature can be nasty when she needs to reduce heavy animal populations....... bigugli
They were completely eradicated from the region decades back. Now that they have finally made a comeback, the citiots want to complain. Maybe some of the local waterfront property holders should not have cut down and destroyed so much of the waterfront brush and trees for the sake of their million dollar view.
