Cool, nice job.

Was down today, got one laker and lost another fish without seeing it. Only saw 2 other fish caught. Not many boats out either, maybe too cold?

Kwickfish is considered a banana type plug that can be fished with the slightest currents. It gives off a distinct wobble . Run it off a three way swivel from a boat off a 6-8 foot lead in sizes k8-k9 . Good colors are usually silver or gold combined with pink or chartreuse colors.

thanks for the info. I ll have to pick a couple up before heading back down to the river. was there yesterday only managed a few perch. I stick to the Canadian side of the water. I hear the NY side is better. True?

Would this setup (with a Kwickfish), work from shore??????

yes iv had good luck with this is the glen and pool.

Do you shorten up your dropper and leader for this set up? I've always thought that unless you were pretty much drifting vertically, the kwikfish would be sure to get hung up.

I was also thinking that a decent sized corkie on the leader might work well for bouncing flatfish from the bank.

actaully my setup for drifting quick fish in the glen and pool is a bit quirky, i run a float setup, with a three way underneath. LOL got tired of loosing sinkers so i put a slip float above the 3 way set up and just fished it like a float. just use less weight on the bottom of the 3 way so you dont pull ur float underwater.

Haha ingenuity at it's finest! Thanks man, I might give that a try during one of those slow-bite periods.

Nice browns bob! Havn't run into any yet this year on the river, mostly lakers. I'm not complaining though lakers on the pin are so fun.

i have got pretty much all browns this year ,,,only a few bows have come into the boat,,not a whole lot of bait balls, smelt,on the sonar,,,i think when the big runs come onto the river there will be alot more bows

nice fish, looks like your futher down river. You having more luck down river or closure to queenston?

im at the pump house drift,,,,my favorite,,,long drift and lots of fish.current and wind can be very tricky ,,may seem like a slow drift but takes practice to get the boat the right speed for a consistant drift,,seen many come and after two or three drifts leave because of the lack of boat control that is needed to get a good presentation..being constanlly on the trolling motor is the key
