Gnfshn
Do you know if any of our local shops carry battery powered lights to make a kayak legal after dark? Thanks in advance.
Dogman
I'm pretty sure MEC carries all the lights that you need.
Botchegalupe
I'm sure Canadian Tire sells portable navigation lights.
spiro
I use a bike light from the dollar store, 2 in a pack one red and one white and I put in the front and back of kayak, I also get a glowstick (the stick you crack and they glow) and pin that to my lifejacket. As per the safe boating guide a human powered craft needs"Have at the ready a an electronic torch or lighted lantern showing a white light that you use far enough in advance to prevent a collision" You do not need the red and green light on a canoe or kayak unless under power. I also have a maglight for emergencies

Gregg
I have seen some good waterproof red, green and white LED lights that people put under their cars etc, at Walmart. The current draw in these units will be very small. I am going to buy some for my Kayak.
