Lower Grand - Caledonia

Hey Everyone

I am interested in dropping the yak in and doing some fishing down in that area but have never been down there before. Where are some potential launching spots in the area around Caledonia.

right close to the parking lot by the dam or you can drive down river a bit further towards york but not quite the far and there is a park called senica park. both these spots are very easily shore line accessable. but the river might be still a bit high from the rain we just had.

Unless you have a shuttle, the current below the dam in Caledonia is too much to paddle up against until Cayuga. There's some decent pickeral fishing this time of year above Caledonia though and the river is pretty flat.

You could fish the dam in Caledonia, put a dozen steelheaders would be right pissed with you.
