Lucas F
Depends on what kind of a setup you currently have, if you're handy you could rig up a side transom and have it to the left or right depending on your dominant side you could potentially setup a trolling motor, but be mindful of your kayaks max weight allowance, a deep cell battery is not light the foot pedal powered ones aren't cheap new...http://www.sail.ca/en/catalogue/paddle-sports/kayaks/5636/mariner-12-5-propel/ used, not much better but at least there's a potential for some wiggle room, depending on the seller http://barrie.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-boats-watercraft-canoes-kayaks-paddle-Hobie-Mirage-Outback-Fishing-Kayak-W0QQAdIdZ1002595232
toaster
run dipsy divers off your lines, they ll get you down deep enough for staging fall kings
dwc67
it's all about drag when your paddling. pulling a dipsy becomes work quickly. torpedo trolling weight on braid works well and is your best bet. the easiest thing to pull is copper line but it's a pia to put out paddling and not kink it or birdsnest the reel. and remember to keep paddling when you get a hit till the rod loads or the line starts screamin http://vid138.photobucket.com/albums/q257/dwc67/divershotintheyak_zps731676f3.mp4
CLofchik
What DWC is talking about is Torpedo Diver's...basically an 8-12oz. snap weight that has less drag than a big diving crankbait and only needs a solid rod holder to fish down to 80'+. Been using them for a few years now to troll with out of canoes & yaks. Also handy to use on boats that don't have riggers. I have & use Dipsy's...but I am sore for two days after spending a morning pulling them around the lake! Doesn't take much tackle to get into Lake Ontario Kings. canliq
Smerchly, are you talk about outrigger only or the whole rigs ? If the whole rigs included the kayak, will cost you over $ 3000.

yakfish
How far out in the lake do you have to go to find the Kings? I just got my first sit on top yak a Feel Free Lure 11.5 and was thinking about trying Lake O later next week. No FF on it yet though so I will have no idea what depth I would be at either. Can you troll relatively close to shore and get into them?
Lucas F
depends on water temps etc, but I've had success with downrigging about 2km off shore of Jordan harbour, near the buoy. the depths can vary though.
