Old wellend canal bass fishing

Hey, I drove past the old wellend canal a couple days ago and it looked like a pretty good spot to walk around and fish. The part im interested In is by the rowing club at the end of the canal

I was wondering if anyone has had any success bass fishing from shore there. I know you can catch panfish from there but I'm interested in if there's bass there.

Try by the train bridge between Lincoln and the broadway street bridge. I have never had luck down at the end by the rowing club. That doesn't mean they aren't in there though

I have caught a few pike at the rowing club in the spring and have seen a few perch caught there .td

Years ago a friend lived in Port Robinson, we always got good numbers and size of Smallies where it narrows for the train bridge near the 406 overpass. Best time was when a ship passed on the new canal , there would be strong current through the narrows and fish were on the move with food being stirred up.

Ok thanks guys I figured it would be better by the bridges espically the old train bridge i have seen a few videos of scub diving there and there were lots of fish around  the bridge.
