smerchly
This could be fishing related..... Looks like it's a go to travel from Port Dal. & NOTL to T.O. in a hover craft . For $25 it will take 30 -40 minutes to cross the lake . For $50 you may want to fish T.O. harbour for the day . It would be interesting to ride the hover craft . If you would like to get there in 5 minutes ...... take the jet boat ! http://www.thespec.com/news-story/7072420-cross-lake-hovercraft-service-being-pitched/
bigugli
Every 10 years or so someone tries to float (pardon the pun) the idea of a commuter ferry service to Toronto. I think the last one lasted 2 years?

I think the last one lasted 2 years? It was on the CH news tonight and they said bad weather will shut them down . They can operate in the fog ......but I hope they can see that big ship in front of them ! And I'm skeptical about them getting enough passengers to make a go of it . Maybe when gas hits 2 bucks/liter they might do well .
Chrisb
I saw the CHCH report. They also said they have not secured any government permits or docking rights yet. This is still in the probative phase.
