Chrisb
I have some 8 movie film I want to digitize. Does anyone know a good place locally? I have tried contacting two places so far via their web site and they do not respond. One is in Ridgeway, the other Niagara Falls.
smerchly
If you still have an 8mm movie projector & screen ( or white wall) you can copy using your digi camera ....not sure about the quality.....
Chrisb
I have tried that and works OK, but I want a better quality than I can get. It seems the film looks better than I can get with my camera.
smerchly
I googled this up and found stores like Cosco , Walmart .etc. do this type of transfer . It could take 2-3 weeks since they outsource it . You may find a faster way to deal direct . The quality of the DVD is supposed to be much better too . Good luck . Chrisb
I would rather go to the source then go through a third party, But I will look into what they offer. I don't remember them coming up in my searches. If they produce DVD that is why I didn't look at them. I want product that I can edit when I get it back. Thanks
Chrisb
I was able to get in touch with the guy from Ridgeway. They should be ready in two weeks.
