fredfisher
I was splitting dead maple trees for firewood and came across some grubs within. should have snapped a pic...but they are 2" long and similar to lawn grubs...white with a light brown head.the bark on this dead tree was peeling off and the grubs are near the bottom of the tree..I assume they will catch fish..as I split I will save up these things and take em with me on the next outing. better than worms? I know perch love the little maggot they sell at bait shops. ff

smerchly
Could they be June bug grubs ? They will get into soft decayed material at the base of a tree as well as your lawn . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flAD4pQd2vg They are a tasty treat for some people ...... bigugli
Great bait. I would save them when I used to take down trees.
