Laker Posted January 21, 2019 Report Share Posted January 21, 2019 Valens Lake’s annual Ice Fishing Derby returns on Saturday February 16, from sunrise until 1 p.m.! Lots of prizes to be won! Prizes will be awarded for adults and children. Species are bluegill, crappie and perch. Hot drinks and BBQ items will also be available for purchase from the Friends of Valens Lake. For Canadian residents, a fishing license is not required as it takes place on Ontario’s license free fishing weekend! Entry into the derby is $25 for adults and $15 for children 12 years and under.
