Community gardens

I run one of many community gardens in brantford. The gardens are for anyone that need some food or helps out volunteering and for the food bank. The girlfriend and I  spent an hour last night turning it over and prepping it for planting. Today I picked up the plants, seeds and  compost(supplied by the city). So this weekend we should be planting everything.  It’s a nice way to help people out that maybe can’t afford the food they should be eating.  Eating healthy definitely isn't cheap.  I haven’t seen too many community gardens outside of brantford, do your city’s have them also?

WTG Tyler ,  nice healthy looking plants .  What are those plants with 7% alcohol ?    haha

I find the above ground method needs more watering ....great for the spices .

All my gardens are now growing new grass ....might have a couple of tomato plants come up from last years seed behind the garage

and a couple in barrel at the "cottage" .

Green Thumb up to you Ty !  🍀

Tyler, I'm impressed!

with work, and all the fishing that you do, you have time for gardening AND a girlfriend??

Oh, to be that young again!

Hahaha I’m definitely running out of time in the day.  I usually do the gardening at night.  Last year I’d go water the plants around 11pm or when the day has finally settled down.

I have a park behind my place where there is a community garden...the town prepped it all up a couple weeks ago.
