pauly
Tried out a new striper rod today to test it on some trout. Caught some browns. The fish I caught came on hardware in mostly slack water. Here's a pic of one fish.

Mike Pike
I think the rod passed the test, Pauly. Thanks for sharing the pics!
eclipse3g
This 11lb guy swallowed a kastmaster up to its stomach. It happened just 2 days after and at the same place. Another one was able to cut the 10lb test mono after a 30 sec of fight. Paul, what is the length of your fluorocarbon leader and what knot do you use? pauly
15lb Fluoro lead about 3 feet. Water clarity isn’t as clear in recent years so no issue with 15. I drop to 8lb when water is clear. Nice fish. Caught 2 more a few days ago but really had to work for them.
