These are time sensitive spots too. You'll start to scope in later April, be convince nothing is around, go back the next day and its like a switch was flipped on. Until it goes quiet again. The same applies to smelt. Go down twice a day to see activity of fishers, then get in on it, you may have a couple of days or a couple of weeks (at most).
