We probably thought there would be some parliament debate on it , but alas , we got the surprise announcement May 1 without any parliament vote ......but Trudeau knows he has the backing of the ndp and most of "those" millions he escorted into the country .....He does know the odds well ....He doesn't worry about the crooks with guns ....he has his armed guards of course! ....from another web site .......after the long gun registry was axed , many bought guns from C.T. ,etc. that may be on the "list" . there may be thousands of them not registered ...... genec Posted May 3, 2020 Author Report Share Posted May 3, 2020 Never liked the Fords before, and never voted for his party. however, since this virus started I’ve come to respect him a lot for his honesty and straight forward remarks on his daily briefings. He hasn’t pulled any punches, and tried to give honest answers to the questioners each day. Been a refreshing change to hear a politician do that on a regular basis! He showed great patience with the teachers whereas most conservative governments show disrespect for union people .... Hope he continues to be fair to all . The framework of the firearms legislation is such that he can bypass democratic process and do this through Order in Council, doesn't matter if he has a minority and it would not pass in the house. It eventually reaches a point where growth is stopped by freedom sticks. To continue gaining power you must take the freedom sticks. The guns in the US and Canada guarantee the freedom of more than just their own citizens. It isn't about making everybody safer and they're responding to a problem that isn't really a problem (how many firearm death compared to say drowning). I'll believe them when they start cracking down on criminal gangs first. But that would affect liberal voter base. Gun owners aren't usually pro-liberal, so why not go after the legal owners. Best we can to is stand together and ignore their hair brained scheme . We know hand guns are next ! Make them spend billions more trying to enforce this scam .....and then listen to all the yes people complain about the insane taxes that will be needed to pay off our trillion dollar dept . After these guns are out of the hands of the public, other guns will be deemed illegal, and so on, till the majority of people are disarmed. Same thing is happening in the US, however being found to be a lot more difficult. If the States become disarmed, then the One World Government can take over the planet. Hopefully most here have read Agenda 21 and 2030, submitted to the world by the United Nations. As many here know, the UN will be the epicenter of The New World Order. As for the Long gun registry being abolished, one must think again , ask the people in Alberta who had their guns confiscated By RCMP during the flooding, that lawsuit Is still going on.
