Tommyboy
Hi all, looking for opinions. I want to go bassin on Erie tomorrow. Crystal beach is my usual spot but want to diversify. Port Maitland is closer and so would try it, but is it any good for bass, and if so, any advice would be great thanks tom
Chrisb
Don't know Maitland but any rocky shore or point along Lake Erie should be good for bass.

genec
My son and I finally got out this morning for the first time. Launched at Pt. Abino at 6:30 and fished till 9:00. We caught 4 bass out from the Buffalo Canoe Club in about 10 ft. Of water - the biggest was 3,3 Lbs. Bubba14 and smerchly

Tommyboy
Hi all we ended going out of Maitland, and fished the bank for a while, then in 7 feet of water found huge schools of bass feeding on everything. Some of the most fun bass fishing on Erie we’ve had in a while. Nothing huge but lots of fun Davidp16
Tyler0420
Nice haul of smallies. You didn’t keep the sheep? I ate them once they were pretty good.
Tommyboy
We tried once before, didn’t go well, but I think we’re going to try again, just not filets, maybe some fish dip or something. If we can find a good use for the meat it will be great cause we catch lots of them out there

If we can find a good use for the meat it will be great cause we catch lots of them out there We knew a couple from Syria who loved to eat sheephead . They would grind up the meat ,add rice and spices ,then roll up the mix in grape leaves , pour a sauce over them and bake . They gave some to others who also enjoyed them . A couple of hours ago I saw Tom Chopin drive by our house towing his black bass boat ....haven't heard from him in a while . Some of you bass guys would have seen him on the water lately I'm sure.....
genec
Bass season opens this Saturday, and the weekend forecast looks crappy!! Hate missing out on a bass opener.
