knightfisher
Daughter and I tried about 4-5 places in welland, the old canal, ten gobies for our effort. Headed for beaverdams. Tried pond #2, Valerie caught lots of sunfish, three nice rock bass and a few small smallies. Mean time I fished across the road on pond #3 and caught four nice size catfish, one fat mother. They came within ten minutes then shut down. All in all a good outing, still haven't found any crappie or pike yet.
Guest BrownBomber
Catfish...wow I didn't even know they were in there. When you say pond #3 do you mean the biggest pond on the right or the smaller one to the left of the middle pond? I haven't caught any crappie there yet either but the other day I saw one with its tail bitten off!

knightfisher
Pond #3 is the big pond on the right. However we catch catfish in all three ponds usually just about 10' from shore, with almost any kind of bait.
