I still go with wild as there is too many hormones in farm raised fish, but will freeze it for a few days to kill any parasites, normally I would make different kinds of veggies rolls typically I use avocado, mango or cucumber. I also make a mean miso soup, there is a grocer downtown in St.Kitts, which is the only place I can find Japanese ingredients.
  2. I like sashimi the most, I do not go out for sushi too often, I can make it at home.

  7. From what I read it is only the amenities that are remaining close, so as long you bring your own chair and use a bush, I don't see any issue but I am not a politician just a guy with an opinion.

  13. I didn't use bread crumbs for this recipe, I crushed up some saltines instead. The mayo was the hardest part, cause I had to hand whisk it for 10 mins lol normally a food processor is used for that.
  14. I've made my own hot sauce before, I have grown my own chilis and tomatoes in the past. Sriracha is a bit different as it is fermented, and not cooked down like typical sauces. Sriracha is relatively simple though, you really just use large Thai chilis and a few spices, it just takes a week to make lol.
  15. This is what I do with my fried perch lol, I made the mayo myself and added sriracha sauce.
  16. I chose steamed cause it is easier to handle, made rolling a lot easier.
  17. It tasted alright, needs a bit of work, but I wasn't bad.
  18. Recently I have been just doing a simple double egg wash fried perch, I first coat the perch in egg, than dip in flour, dip again in egg and than dip in breadcrumbs. I then fry in oil and butter. I also tried something new today, where I steamed the perch, spread strawberry cream cheese and then placed a slice of avocado on one side of the fillet, I then roll the fillet into basically well bite size little rolls.
  19. Erie is hands down better than the pond, I just like the pond cause I don't drive, and I can take a bus there easily. I feel you on getting old, I can't really stand longer than a few hours since breaking my heels last summer, fun fact the friend I was fishing with was the same friend that was with me when I jumped off his boat and broke both heels.
  20. Did you launch right beside us? I was in a green legend, there was boat with two older guys getting in and the boat was rocking hard lol. This was around 8 to 830am.
  21. Went out with a friend today and fished Lake Erie, it took us all day to find some fish, but we ended up ending the day with 37. I got the only double header and the biggest perch. Was a good day out.
  22. I voted, I voted for the party who platform best aligned with my views which lost their lone seat lol, but yeah there hasn't been a real good candidate in a while.
