Snags
My two chub spots were iced over when I was last in the area. to find chubs you need to find a creek .... chubs like water wherr they can have cover .... hide under the bank .... Buckshot
Amen ! I look to a little flow with some murkyness! They are around it's the fact that everything is so frozen this year ! I will advise if I find a few !
Buckshot
Found a spot that holds em and starting to open up ! Won't be long now I would share the spot but am afraid it will be raided ! But things will really start to get moving after this cold spell
iHasFish
I love dry fly fishing for chubs in the upper Niagara. If I only have a few hours before dusk, I'll head up to the little island in chippawa and catch 20 or so of them before dark. They don't pull very hard but are really aggressive even when there isn't a hatch and will blow up on any sloppily placed fly. Good fun.
