Delta Waterfowl Dinner - Mississauga

The Delta Waterfowl Foundation is holding our 1^st ever Fundraising Dinner in the GTA in November – to those who have already purchased tickets, thank you – the details of the dinner are:

Thursday, November 20
Doors open at 6, buffet dinner at 7
Tickets are $25 pp

Royal Canadian Legion
456 Hensall Circle, Mississauga (just off Dundas, east of Hurontario)

There will be gun raffles for a Winchester SX3 .12, a Remington 870 Sportsman .12ga, a Weatherby Upland .20ga, and a Remington 770 .308 complete with scope. There will also be other raffles, silent auctions, and a live auction, for tons of hunting gear (Tangle Free, Rig ‘em Right, Heavy Hauler), a dog blind, layout blinds, apparel, working decoys, decorative decoys, artwork, various Delta branded items, plus more!

Delta events are fun nights – share you hunting stories with fellow enthusiasts, buy raffle tickets and bid on auction items and help raise funds for Delta so we can continue to ensure the future of Ducks and Duck Hunters, Today & Tomorrow.

Since 1911 Delta Waterfowl has worked on hunter’s rights and breeding & conservation issues, all with the goal of ensuring the future of waterfowl and waterfowl hunting. Delta’s research into duck breeding has lead to many fantastic innovations – nesting structures like hen houses and wood duck boxes and intensive predator management initiatives has seen nest success ratios rise from 4-5% to 75-80%. Delta’s advocacy work on behalf of the hunting community is without equal – our biggest “win” in the past few years was lobbying the federal government to abolish the Long Gun Registry, which it did!

We have 20 chapters in Ontario / Eastern Canada that hold fundraising dinners like this year round – we have never had one in the GTA, so I hope this sets the bar high!
