Bow Man
Question for all you fine gentlemen... do any of you fish for carp on the fly? If so what flies are you using? Thought it would be a amazing fight on the fly. TightLines
ron4blues
Wooly buggers, larger nymps (dragonfly and damselfly), and deerhair "bread" flies. And yes they are fun on a fly.

Thank you Coachman, I really think I will have to give this a go sometime. Sorry for my ignorance what is a "bread" fly?
ron4blues
A bread fly is just a clump of spun and clipped deer hair shaped to imitate a piece of bread.
D McV
Probably my favourite thing to do on the fly . I like crayfish patterns , wolly buggers ,I also tie alot of larger funky looking nymphs (with pink, purple rubber legs etc)and egg patterns like you would use for trout .I've even had success stripping streamer patterns when they are aggressively feeding -ice out... they hit minnow patterns like a freight train .
