smerchly
Ha! Best way to catch muskie? Not fish for them. Same thing happened to me at Port one day ....ended up with a lost J-13 to a ski.... Another time while casting a J-11 for pike at CDP , I had a good battle with a crazy mixed up carp ! walleye5
nice fish btw some of the biggest muskies are caught unexpected.
steellee
So true. Never technically even targeted musky and I bet over the years I've hooked 15-20 incidentally. Most have come spoon chucking in fall. Seen a couple on roe, one on kwikfish, one attacked a 1 pound smallie I was reeling in didn't let go until it was beached. Lower niagara has a healthy musky population. Very nice looking fish there.
PRO - P1KE 101
jeez that's incredible you don't see a nice skie like that too often caught on shore in the winter.
