knightfisher
Fishing for smelt, I met a couple of guys down from Golden Lake Reserve trying for smelt as well. Being I could not possibly handle all the smelt I was netting, I offered these two guys many of the smelt I was netting. The two being very appreciated of the act of kindness, as they put it, offered me some tobacco. In short order I was given a great history lesson on gifting tobacco. As well they showed me many pics on their phone, of the various outfits they wear. Showed me pics of harvesting wild rice into canoes etc. It was quite a pleasure spending some time with these two guys last night.

spikeattolah
The family has camped up there a couple of summers. Fished Golden lake and the Bonnechere River a few times. Got a few keeper bass. My wife was also gifted some tobacco from her friends up there.
