Fished for an hour after work with no luck. The last two years I have pictures of carp from March 25 so the time is coming soon. The lake is still 3/4 frozen.

Checked out a river spot I’m going to fish this week since my pond is completely frozen over. I usually Catt fish here but there’s carp n suckers around also. Chucked out a can of corn and chickpeas and I’ll be back tomorrow. Hopefully the nice weather this week won’t blow the grand out with all the snow melting. This year I can’t see the major flooding Happening that happens every spring but I could be wrong. Looking forward to fishing this spot a few times this week. PLEASE FISH GODS BE NICE TO ME.....

Lol sure looks like it but definitely didn’t feel like it. No ice on the harbor this year. Wonder how they walleye fishing would be from a boat.

i'm going to fish the grand for a few outings, maybe ill find some active carp. i just like being out, i don't actually expect to catch any fish till spring anything before that is a bonus.

Was going to fish the river for an hour but seen my carp spot was open water. No luck, this spot was like 2’ deep, was hoping for something small maybe.

I agree with you. But most lake places I can’t park n fish. I have no shelter so winter is a lil chilly on the beach.

I finished work in beamsville around 3:00 so on my way home I stopped by CCIW. Fished for two hours before I had to leave. No takers but it was nice to be there again. I can’t wait for spring when that place is “hot”. Today’s menu was crushed boilie, expanding pellets and pinkberry goo in pva mesh with pinkberry scented boilie/floating corn. How did I not catch something 🤔.....

Checked out my local carp pond last night. Didn’t have any safety gear on me so I only walked out a few feet because it looked like someone else drilled a hole and there was 3-4” of ice. I chipped away a hole a bit further out and still 3-4”. This week has some cooler temps at night so I might venture out later this week. Some spots looked like open water but I chucked a snow ball out and it was frozen so maybe some good black ice out farther. I’d like to make my own depth map for the swims I fish and see if there are any deeper Holes around.

Ya same waters. This water is highly polluted, most people don’t go near it or ask me if I’ve caught fish with 3eyes from here. It’s the first fish I’ve caught that’s looked like that. Probably should of left it on the bank

Not much of a carp but it’s a fish. Not sure what it has all over it. Some disease or something. I never touched it.

Minnows on bottom could possibly work. I’m thinking of going to worms. Drove past my local lake to check the ice out, completely open water.... what the heck it was just frozen over. I see some swirling and head n shoulders out of the water so I set up. I’ll be putting time back into here. Don’t have to drive sofar for a skunk.

I was thinking the beacon. I remember a few years ago carp being caught through the ice there. 50min drive for me so it kinda sucks for short sessions.

Thanks. Too bad the goodies didn’t work. I’ll be on the hunt for more carp elsewhere. Hhmmmmm where To go next, maybe I’ll try some marinas off lake O.

Well fished 9hours and skunked. Spent 4 hours in the first spot then moved 5 times and fished each spot for an hour. Bye bye lasalle on to a new spot. Tried the grand the other day but it’s blown. 3oz lead wouldn’t hold bottom.

Swans, geese, ducks their all here. Mostly by the boat ramp though. There’s a walking trail that people feed the birds at so most of the birds stay on that side.
