  1. That’s an amazing shot! Beauty hawk. Love everyone’s input. How are you guys feeling about battery life? Do you use external battery’s or just the AA’s? What’s your set ups? I’ve seen solar panels. External 12 volts and just reg batteries
  2. Hey right on man thanks for all the info, I’m gona be hunting private land in copetown for deer and turkey. I appreciate all the info. I think I’m gona go with spypoint on a boxing day sale. They have a good cam, cheap 12v external battery package and 2 year warranty will give me two seasons if it poops out after that I’ll have got my moneys worth . I have an infinite amount of white tail questions whenever it gets closer maybe ill open up a thread and pick your guys’ brains
  3. Hey everyone, it’s been a wonderful hunting season cutting my teeth goose and duck hunting. I wanted to pick your brains on cellular trail cams. What’s your experience been like? How do you keep them from being stolen(private land only) spypoint seems like the go to idea. Let me know. thanks for your time
  4. Had the turkeys come through on schedule sadly they look a wrong turn away from my decoys and went to feed in the next field. Thank god for blinds today. Didn’t respond to a single call!
  5. Good morning everyone, spent the morning scouting new private land. Heard groups of gobbling turkeys responding to crow and owl calls. Spotted what looked like a Jake in a field about 100yds away but he continued onto the next field and not mine. Question for you all. There’s a area in the fence where it seems like they come off the roost and into the fields. How far away should I place a decoy to attract him to my hunting property? Should I use a hen or a Jake? Is it best to be there at daybreak or afternoon when the males are back out on the hunt? Also are these turkey tracks? Thanks so much. Good luck
  6. Hey what do you guys do for decoys for turkey? Do you use a few? Just one Jake and hen? What are your thoughts
  7. Hey man thanks so much for the help! When I get all set up I’ll for sure check these groups and events out thanks again for your time!
  8. That’s super nice of you man thanks! But I’d say I’m for sure longer than that. But if something changes and I’m shorter than what I thought I will 100% message you thanks again!
  9. I’ll check that out thanks a lot thanks I really appreciate it let me know if anything comes up
  10. Yeah! I had to learn to shoot left handed too. I actually just got off the phone with a great guy from triggers a bows and he let me know I need a 33+ inch bow for my longer draw length due to string angle. Which completely prices me out of a compound bow 👎🏼 If you or anyone else has any thoughts let me know
  11. That was a great read thanks for all the help man nice shooting!!
  12. Hey guys and Thankyou for your time and help I appreciate it! Have anyone of you had any success or hunted with anyone that has had success with a compound? I can totally understand the pros for a crossbow that makes sense in my mind. The one downside to a crossbow is that I currently don’t have anywhere to hunt deer locally and have no hunt groups so the only time I would use it is to hunt whereas I can shoot the compound at HGC and the Parkdale archery club 10 min from my house regularly? Thanks so much again for your hospitality and time!
  13. Hey everyone I’m new to this forum and new to hunting and am looking for help. I would like to get into archery because it will prolong my season and give me some new opportunities. The problem is I don’t have an unlimited budget and my draw length is 31.75” so most compound bow options are really expensive. Obviously the more cost effective option is an Excalibur mag 340 but I feel like other than hunts I won’t shoot it. (I don’t have anywhere to shoot it and my club doesn’t allot cross bows in the range). If you guys could offer any advice or experience I would really appreciate it. Thanks
