  1. I'd like to post an inquiry on this subject. I know that, at any given time in the year, there's a part of the cattail that can be eaten. But I don't know what, or when. I'm sure eating the wrong part could have terrible results, if not making me ill, then probably tasting like I liked the backside of some random animal. :blahblah1:

    Can anyone tell me what parts, where they're located, and what time of the year they can be eaten? I always think about it when I see the cattails, never when I'm in a book store, so having it here where I can memorize it would do me worlds of good. Thanks!

  2. I am still perplexed by this question.... My friend says anything under 10hp does not need a OC that is why they make 9.9hp but I would like to know for sure so I am not worried about that on the water and instead worried about who will catch more fish!!!!!

    Whats so perplexing. If the boat has a motor on it no matter what size you need an operators card. If the motor is over 10 hosepower you have to have it registered and have numbers put on the boat. If yoou have a motor on your boat get an OC.
