  1. During that black out Bill, we were amazed how beautiful the sky was with all the bright stars.
  2. I'm guessing they are all closed so no one can say they hurt their eyes while at work.....
  3. 41 degrees is the magic number for the smelt run.
  4. Tommy the lake temps are still in the low 40s, and the smelt are still running.
  5. Suppose to be dark of a while, time for a power nap imo.....
  6. I have some silver fillings I'm willing to part with
  7. A bit of maple syrup on the fillet as it smokes makes for a great tasting piece. How does one get a piece of said candy.....
  8. Nice fish. Any going on the dinner plate later...
  9. Yes lots of shallow spots, however like most of that area down to Cayuga there are all kinds of spots where the rocks create hiding spots for many fish. Lots of holes as well. If fly fishing just keep casting and moving around. I have also caught fish there still fishing with a float. Fish are moving around.
  10. I was in Caledonia about 3 weeks or so ago and not one person fishing there. Passing through York on the way back I did see a number of people trying their luck there. I have actually fished York more than the dam area with so so luck.
  11. Perhaps Sandy can pick me up and you and I can enjoy an afternoon binge All the windows on my cherokee are tinted. The windshield also has 1/3 at the top tinted, but does little to dull the effects of the sun, but helps with on coming vehicles at night. 🥂
  12. Take it easy Bill, the healing will take a bit of time. If you need anything let me know. I have some 25 year old scotch which might help with the pain. My Cherokee has tinted windows. Read online that the tint can block most of the UV rays. Not sure how factual that is, but might be something to research and get done.
  13. I'll stick to my gas guzzling Cherokee. All she is burning is gas. My Astro van is also more dependable then anything pictured here.
  14. NOTL population is increasing yearly, perhaps that has something to do with the lower numbers of deer spotted.
  15. Good info on the cameras. If any of you guys find you have too much meat, I'll gladly help lighten the load....just saying....
  16. A few years back Bill-smerch and I were fishing the Grand from the dam down about a mile or so and because I had a motor-electric- on the Sportspal the OPP came along aside us and asked me for my fishing license and boating card. Was surprised they came over to check us out. Motor is a motor I guess.
  17. Was in my Sportspal canoe, which has an electric, however I was just drifting with worms bouncing along the bottom. I would drift for a mile or so, and went back to the dam and drifted again.
  18. I have caught many eyes out there, however the incidental channel cats I caught always out numbered the eyes. Made for a good time.
  19. Nice pike. Catching carp in a yak or canoe can be a blast. Years back Smerch and I were fishing Jordan and he hooked into a carp and it gave a good fight and pulled the canoe around for a while.
  20. No rain for a while Bill, but when it does keep an eye on your rear doors. Sometimes the water gets by the caulk I put in mine to handle the water, but most times not.
