Snags
Well the fish are starting to get on the feed ... saw more pike caught today than I saw all year til this point. Got my hands on some chubs and turned them into two pike (one around 15 inches ad one around 27 inches and one very hungry perch (the chub was about 3/4 the length of the perch). smerchly, knightfisher and Tyler0420
smerchly
Good to hear they are getting hungry , finally . i like using live bait under a float for pike (as you know) . I can get chubs anytime with my trap . I am on the prowl for some minnows locally , but they haven't shown up yet , or they have changed location . smerchly
Took the long rods for about 2 hrs. today , using swim baits for a change while my ice rods weep ... But it was worth going to Port D. as it is such a fine day ....got a little breezy when I left. Water is still murky ,about 18" viz...... I missed the first fish ...about a 3 second run & off it went . About 10 min.later I hooked a good one ..... It felt very heavy but it gave up the fight after about two minutes & a couple of short runs before a young fellow netted it for me .... Stats..... 9 lbs. 5 oz., and 33 inches Inside story......2 smelts , 6 minnows and preggo . Darryl L, Bubba14, honeyv and 1 other
